RAPS’ Good Sports Enjoy the Challenge

It was game on for young competitors at the annual sports day at Ramsgate Arts Primary.

Children from all age groups from Reception to Year 6 enjoyed a structured programme of events so that everyone took part in a range of events.

Head of School Nick Budge said: “Our children really got involved in the various games and also cheered their team mates on.

“There was a variety of events for them to enjoy involving balance and motor skills and dexterity challenges, plus lots of competitive fun. The parents gave us great support as ever and the organising team and staff did a fabulous job in co-ordinating so many different challenges for each child to enjoy.”

Activities included running, archery, long jump, space hoppers and football.

Sports lead Alice Piper added: “The children showed brilliant teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout the events, cheering each other on and giving every activity their best effort.

“It was lovely to see so many families joining us to support the children and celebrate their achievements.

“The Parent Teacher Association members also played their part, selling drinks and even iced coffee to help keep parents cool.

“A huge well done to all of the children who took part and a big thank you goes to the staff and PTA for helping the events run so smoothly.”

The final House results were: 1st - Elba House (yellow); 2nd - Malone House (green); 3rd - Bussell House (red); 4th - Emin House (blue)
